Don't you just love finding hidden gardens and nurseries? Places that are so settled into the woods that you'd never know they were there unless someone told you?
Barn Owl Nursery and Herb Farm is off the beaten path and just a little bit tucked away liked that.
Someone told me about this place when I was telling her about this place.
And she told me it was lovely.
They're only open a few months out of the year, during lavender season and Christmas season (I think).
The lavender wasn't in bloom of course, but I think out-of-season gardens are quite beautiful.
Especially when there's a rustic gift shop that feels like you've stumbled upon a little cabin in the woods.
And it's filled with things like plum honey, marionberry preserves, and homemade tea blends from the herbs and lavender they grow on the farm.
Do you know places like this?
Are there places like this where you live?
There just might be, if you look around.
