Why is it so much fun to decorate the porch? I have no idea. But I love it. And it never really feels like a new season has arrived until the porch has been readied for it, ya know? Fall is so easy, too. There are only a handful of flowers to choose from—mums, pansies, or kale—and when you mix them with some perky pumpkins, you're pretty much good to go.
Is it just me or are these signs sending mixed messages?
The guy at the nursery was disappointed to hear that I was using this mum as an annual and not planting it in my garden. He told me that the grower had to spend a tremendous amount of time pruning it to get it that full. I'm sorry, guy! Okay, fine. Maybe I'll put it in the garden somewhere. Geesh. Why do I have to tell everyone what I'm doing all the time?
I made these pillows from some scraps leftover from the Wonderland Scarf project from last Christmas. Are they cute or weird? I can't tell. I guess it doesn't matter.
