Perry has a totally excellent way of drawing. Last year, I gave him a big stack of blank index cards and he made dozens of these little drawings. We find them taped up on the walls or tucked inside envelopes that say, To: Mom, From: Your Friend, Perry Smith.
His class at school has been working on posters of dreams they have for the world, and he's certainly taken to the idea, leaving Public Service Announcements around the house for us all to see.
His style is sort of Charles Schultz-esque. He gets his ideas from everything he sees or hears about so he never runs out of subject matter.
I love these woodland scenes in particular. They're filled with his own unique blend of birds, bees, bunnies, trees, and mushrooms.
